Sligo football star visits Scoil Chroí Naofa
We were delighted to welcome past-pupil Luke Marren to our school on Thursday to celebrate his wonderful performance in the Connacht Minor Football Final this summer.
Luke scored 10 points as part of the first Sligo team to win the Connacht Minor Championship in 53 years and was named Electric Ireland Minor Football Player of the week in recognition of his role in Sligo’s victory.
The children were thrilled when Luke kindly agreed to visit Scoil Chroí Naofa to chat about his experience and share his football advice. They greeted him with enthusiastic applause and all agreed that Luke is a great example to the children of Bunninadden both on and off the pitch.
Well done Luke!
